    If you want to do flights on your own because you have miles you want to use, go for it!  

    If you want Novacoast TO PAY for flights, we must arrange and pay for those flights since there are NO expense reports that can be submitted for Club. 

    You are welcome to reserve the flights you want and have Robin ticket them.

  • Normally Club would be a taxable benefit as determined by the IRS, however Novacoast is paying the taxes on the cost of Club for employees and their guests, therefore it is tax free to each employee and their guest.  

  • Both South Africa and Zambia are in Central African Time GMT +2.

  • Please note these exchange rates are as of August 9th.

    $1 USD = 18.32 South African Rand (ZAR)

  • Gratuities have been pre-paid for hotel, off site activities and staff.  You can always carry small denominations of ZAR & ZMW to tip as you see fit.  Restaurants that you eat at on your own, a 10% tip is customary.

  • You can extend your stay pre-club (early arrival).  You can also extend your stay in Zambia.  You cannot extend the safari portion of Club.

  • There is no reason to rent a car during Club.  All of our optional excursions include transportation.

  • Once Novacoast pays for your airline tickets, all changes will be at your expense.

  • No, you do not need to submit a PTO request for Club.  Any employee who is selected for Club will continue to receive their regular rate of pay for the time off, with no PTO balance reduction.  Hourly employees will receive a credit for 40 hours of regular work at your regular rate of pay.  If you choose to extend your trip to include additional work days, a PTO request should be submitted for these additional hours.  If your guest is a Novacoast employee they are required to either submit PTO for the time off or take the time unpaid. 

  • You can book restaurant reservations on your own at Cape Town. See here for local restaurant recommendations and guide. Check out restaurants near V&A Waterfront for options closer to hotel. (Ask for updated list)

  • You can use your T-Mobile Novacoast phones in South Africa. Everyone will have 2/3G speeds while there. (Double check on this)

  • In order to bring a drone, you must have a license in Zambia.
